About Dr. Kristen Yule
“Step into the arena of healing, where trust, connection, and growth lead the way to a brighter future.”
Kristen Yule, PhD
Dr. Kristen Yule is a licensed clinical pediatric psychologist in California (PSY33904). She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their parents. Dr. Yule earned her Ph.D. at Marquette University and completed her advanced clinical training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). She was inspired to launch Unbridled Chances as a way to offer a unique and holistic approach to mental health through traditional office-based talk therapy and equine facilitated psychotherapy services.
Combining conventional therapy techniques with the therapeutic power of horses, Dr. Yule developed Unbridled Chances to address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges in youth, parents, and family systems. She aims to create a therapeutic environment where individuals can build emotional strength, develop coping skills, and foster deeper interpersonal connections as a way to promote overall well-being and resilience. By integrating traditional therapy methods with hands-on experiences in a natural setting, Dr. Yule’s vision was to offer a dynamic and effective approach to overcoming life’s challenges and enhancing mental well-being.
Dr. Yule’s goal is to partner with youth and their families to help make the journey of life easier and more manageable. She uses a mix of warmth, humor, and genuineness to collaboratively help individuals achieve their goals. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, taking her dogs for walks along the ocean, horseback riding, spending time with her family, and cooking/baking.
